Energy Intelligence Software takes center stage at the Babson Energy Conference

enernoc

This year’s BEC conference is focusing on “Harnessing Entrepreneurial Energy”.  Based on the roster of guest speakers, attendees can expect a robust conversation around emerging opportunities in the Energy space for entrepreneurs.

The current state of the industry is that government and utilities across the country are looking for solutions to better help manage demand side consumption. This is where entrepreneurs can propose marketing and software based solutions able to work with existing utility infrastructure. These products are often consumer facing and require intuitive interfaces.  Speaking on the demand for software based solutions will be executives from EnerNoc Energy Intelligence and First Fuel Software.

Tomorrow’s conference is hosted by Babson’s Energy and Environmental Club (BEEC) and will include panel discussions specifically around the energy economy with several examples of entrepreneurs experiencing success therein. This year’s conference will feature a cadre of both small and larger firms.  A key area where they will share insight is around how firms of various size can partner with utilities to address growing energy consumption.
