SF Summer Catalyst Showcase Recap!

Our first Summer Catalyst showcase in San Francisco was a success!

Leading up to the showcase, teams participated in Babson’s Summer Catalyst program, a 10 week pre-accelerator experience designed to help early stage entrepreneurs. The showcase is a culmination of the team’s hard work where they share their accomplishments to investors and the local community.

To kickoff the evening,  Lynn Santopietro, Director of Babson San FranciscoDebi Kleiman, Executive Director of the Blank Center, and Elliott Adams, Director of the Summer Catalyst program gave opening remarks and welcomed the audience. Then, the pitches began!

Winnie McCabe pitched Skippit Inc, a dating platform that uses video-voice interactions to fix the program that other apps have (Co-founder, Marc Baghadjian ’21)

Sam Nepomuceno M’19 pitched Guiltless Snacks, which aims to free the healthy consumer from the compromise between healthy snacking and indulgence (Co-founder, Miguel Sandejas M’19)

Paul Sednaoui M’17 pitched Futurespan, an HR platform that delivers personalized career development connections to enterprise employees (Co-founders Ross Mathews M’17 + Janece Rittenbury M’17)

Jacob Van Den Huevel ’19 pitched Neighborhood, an application where individuals can securely store the personal information they need to apply for government welfare programs

Angela Tsung ’19 pitched Rouge, a budget friendly beauty search tool that provides the beauty counter experience through personalized recommendations

Rachel Pardue ’18 pitched LOU, a web assistant that teaches while you work (Co-founders, Kyle Lawson ’19, and Gabe Leibovich ’19)

After the presentations, the entrepreneurs had a table to display their product, talk to potential customers, and interact with the greater community.

We couldn’t be more proud of our innovators and entrepreneurs! A big thank you to Elliott Adams, Director of the Summer Catalyst program, Debi Kleiman, Executive Director of the Arthur M. Blank Center, and to our dedicated mentors who volunteered their time to advise our entrepreneurs– Carey Fan M’12, Hugh Geiger, Chuang-Ming Liu, Mark Mavroudis, George Northup, and Tanya Soman ’12!
