WAKU or “healing water” is infused with medicinal herbs and aromatic flowers from the Andes Mountains. The founders, Juan and Nico, grew up in Ecuador drinking this “healing water” whenever they were sick. They decided to partner with a local farmer, Don Miguel, and helped him get this “healing water” to the US market. This is a social impact business, helping Don Miguel and other rural farmers improve their livelihoods.
In this episode, Jake Maude asks Juan how he has grown this sustainable business with a product that has become increasingly popular in the Boston market.
