Marijuana and the Entrepreneur
It’s not too often that a new industry springs up seemingly overnight, but that is increasingly the case for cannabis as more and more states create regulatory environments in which consumers can purchase and consume marijuana. And this industry is not just about growing and smoking pot: join Pierce Atwood and the Blank Center on Thursday, November 16 at 6pm for a panel discussion where we will explore the risks and rewards for investors, growers, and service providers. This is a significant industry in which both traditional and disruptive companies can participate by engaging in some creative thinking. By understanding the ins and outs of the cannabis industry, entrepreneurs can develop strategies for gaining access to this high-growth, high-margin market without rewriting their entire business plan. This panel will be held at Babson’s Boston Campus (100 High Street, Boston). Registration required >>
Panelists will include:
Mark Slater, Chief Investment Officer, Sensible Alternative Investments, a non-leaf touching cannabis focused fund;
Ben Ferri, Founder, Kind & Co., a licensed caregiver in its fifth year of cultivation in;
Connor Mccaffery, Founder, Livfree Holdings
Sarah McGarrell, from Pierce Atwood, who works with start-ups and entrepreneurs in every stage of growth.
