Mighty Well: Past B.E.T.A. Challenge Finalists: Where Are They Now? (2017 Series: Part 4)

Mighty Well (formerly PICCPerfect) Winning the 2016 Undergraduate B.E.T.A. Challenge

Emily Levy ’16 is brightening lives every day. Her business, Mighty Well, creates functional and stylish medical apparel and accessories for patients, their loved ones, and medical professionals. She won the B.E.T.A. Challenge in 2016, applying because she was seeking validation for her business and wanted to be fast-tracked into MassChallenge. The chance to win $20,000 did not hurt, either!

Winning the B.E.T.A. Challenge helped Mighty Well become what it is today. The business was called PICCPerfect at the time Emily won, but she was looking to rebrand in the near future. The prize money helped her team do just that, as well as purchase inventory and raise venture capital funding! Mighty Well also grew significantly by going through MassChallenge and still works out of their facility.

“Go big or go home” is what Emily recommends to potential B.E.T.A. Challenge applicants. Thinking as big as possible is equally important as telling a great story in this competition. Be clear about why your business makes you wake up every day. That is what Emily focused on, and today her venture is doing mighty well.

Meet the 2017 B.E.T.A. Challenge semifinalists and finalists this April!
