Summer Venture Program Wellesley

Summer Venture Program Wellesley

Today we start the Summer Venture Program in Wellesley! We are excited to have 15 teams in the Wellesley program this year. The Summer Venture Program is a 10-week intensive experience designed to accelerate the development of entrepreneurial ventures. SVP supports the most promising graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurs from Babson, Olin College of Engineering, and Wellesley College. Teams receive housing, work space, advisors, a speaker series, and other resources to help them and their businesses develop throughout the 10 weeks. We are also launching a pilot of the program in San Francisco this summer with 11 teams!

Here are the teams in this year’s Wellesley cohort:

BarnManager.com (Nicole Lakin M’17) is an easy-to-use web-based software platform designed to organize and streamline every barn’s program. Users can track horses’ work schedule, maintain detailed medical records, create monthly invoices and manage their barn’s entire calendar from their computer or mobile device.

Cleancult (Ryan Lupberger ’18 and Samuel Gaudet ’18) delivers the most effective, non toxic laundry detergent directly to your door monthly, so that you can feel clean, not chemicals.

Clubes de Ciencia Latin America (Luis Ortiz M’17 and Marcos Vinicius Tedrus Cezar Bento M’17) is a non-profit organization that brings scientists from top Universities in the world to teach STEM+IE sciences in Latin America.

Fyor Interface (Joanna Geisinger M’17) aims to improve efficiency, accuracy and safety for surgeries that involve medical devices by creating a platform for hospitals and devices companies to share real-time data. This simple exchange of information will ultimately alleviate price pressure by reducing overhead cost for both segments and allow hospitals to continue making purchasing decision based on quality of care and not cost.

Hostel Point, Co. (Peter Creech M’17, Leo Robiglio M’17 and Ankit Newaskar M’17) is a booking platform with a social network element, where users can choose hostels based on mutual interests with other guests, and communicate and plan activities with each other
before they arrive.

Our new category of “Action Pals” and accessory kits inspire young boys to build their own personas and dream big. Our mission is to celebrate Brown Boyhood!

Raised Right (Braeden Ruud MSEL’16) delivers natural, human grade, custom portioned pet meals to pet owner’s doorsteps in raw or cooked form on a subscription basis.

Terpi (Sam Barber ’16 and Robert Lally) is a cannabis infused beverage company that creates different effects. We aim to operate in as many states as possible through a licensing and lease program that provides financing for equipment.

At Think Board (Hanson Grant ’16) we help students, innovators, and entrepreneurs create a new thinking space by allowing them to turn any existing surface into a dry erase board. We help unlock personal and professional creativity in homes, offices and school classroom by overlaying Think Boards onto workspaces, walls and school desks worldwide.
