A Wealth of Knowledge

The other day I found myself spending hours and hours on things that weren’t directly benefiting my businesses, and I felt really awful. As an entrepreneur, it’s easy to feel a heavy amount of guilt a regret when you are doing things other than tasks related to building or maintaining your business. You toss and turn at night thinking you should be up working and sacrifice sleep and your mental and physical health because there’s more work to be done.

But after I beat myself up for 10 minutes for spending 3 hours doing other things, I realized, there are many things you can do to relieve stress, take a break from work, and still benefit your work at the same time.

I spent that 3 hours reading up on blogs about marketing, search, and managing funds. There’s an immense wealth of knowledge available for entrepreneurs to enrich themselves and educate them on how to build a better business. Instead of constantly doing, as the lean startup methodology suggests, sometimes it is good to just sit back and relax, rethink strategy and reflect on actions, then consider how you could make things better next time.
