Entrepreneur Benevolence

I believe everyone in the United States is aware that we are in a recession that doesn’t seem to be getting all that much better. This means that tons of people are out of work or are fearing that they may end up out of work. This also means that small businesses are struggling to stay afloat and even try to advance to the next step in their business. With this said and done, can you believe that some owners of these struggling small businesses are actually keeping at least one friend that needs help on their pay roll when they could have much better people that are qualified join the team? Talk about having a huge heart. They want to help their friend who has helped them in the past and are willing to let it effect their productivity that much to keep this person on payroll just to help them and their family out. That is a wonderful thing. You can bet that many small business owners are doing this too. One good action leads to another but you need to be careful that this doesn’t drag your company down. I would never recommend doing this for more than one person at a time, and make sure you are ready to clean up any messes they make or leave behind. We call this entrepreneur benevolence. Means you got a big heart and a strong mind.
