Loving What You Do

Building a business is like raising a kid. Not sure if that’s the best comparison since I’ve never raised a kid and I’ve only just started my entrepreneurial career. But 10 months ago, I knew I was doing something I loved with this men’s dress shirts startup when we launched it.

There’s a lot to be said about a business that makes a lot of revenue, captures a lot of active users, has great growth. But there’s a lot more to be said behind the individuals behind all the madness.

I used to want to live the corporate life. Black AMEX, fancy title, six-figure, stable salary. But after experiencing that, not having passion for it, in fact, hating it, I wanted to do something totally different for myself. Something more real, something that wasn’t so superficial.

So running this business has showed me what real love is. For one, I definitely love a really neat slim fitted dress shirt, especially navy dress shirts. Two, I am working with some of the best people in the world. Three, I don’t have to answer to anyone. I do what I want, when I want, on the hours that I want, and it’s awesome.

There’s no freedom like entrepreneurship, and I really love it.
