I have added this year’s student awards to the website.
This is a “work-in-progress” and if you have an addition or correction please let me know.
Thank you to Jeffrey Compton (BS 1977) for filling in holes in my collection.

Grace was born in South Hadley, MA on December 12, 1873. Her father, Rev. Richard Knight, was a Congregational minister and missionary.  Grace met Roger Babson [...]

Nona was born in Milford, Maine on April 28, 1889. Her parents were Daniel (born in Ireland) and Ellen M. (Kelleher) Dougherty (born in Bangor, Maine.) Please note two things in this issue.  The first is the announcement of March graduates.  This merely acknowledges those who completed the requirements for their degrees at the end of Winter Term.  Babson Institute had three terms a year until 1969.  The same Master [...]

Thanks to the efforts of Horn Library’s Technical Services staff we now have a nearly complete collection of the Babson alumni magazine available to use in the Library. Begun as “The Alumni News” in 1924 the magazine has grown and changed over the years.  But through mission, format, and title changes the magazine remains a [...]

Last year at about this time I acquired a copy of Somethin’s Cookin’ at Babson from President William Dill. This collection of Babson College staff favorite recipes was printed in 1984 as a fund-raiser for the Babson College Women’s Club with the proceeds going for scholarships.  With a week before Thanksgiving 2008 I repost it [...]

I was reading last week’s Free Press and discovered a profile on the Archives on page two. As much as I enjoyed hearing nice things about the archives, I was particularly thrilled to hear how fired up people were for Beaver Bowl.  I hope that that interest in Babson’s history carries on into the participant’s [...]
