It is the end of term again.  Papers, presentations, and projects with exams, exams, and exams. With Horn Library open 24 hours a day until the end of finals many students will doubtless feel they have moved in.

Allow me to suggest a few diversions:

The Babson Collection:
Located in a bookcase outside of Horn Study Room 201, the Babson Collection is the home for books written by Mr. Babson, bound back issues of the Babson Alumni Bulletin (now known as the Babson Magazine), and the college yearbook–The Babsonian.

The Babson World Globe:
OK, you need to go out of doors (the Olin College side of Coleman Hall) for this but the air will feel good. In the middle of exams what better metaphor than to have someone take your photograph stooped under the globe carrying it on your shoulders?

The Sir Isaac Newton Room and Roger W. Babson Museum:
If you want to take a walk and don’t want to go outside there are two rooms on the third floor of Horn which you can visit. The Sir Isaac Newton Room is the actual foreparlour from Newton’s St. Martins Street home.  The Roger W. Babson Museum depicts the life and times of our founder.  Now until the end of finals you can stop by and I’ll open the rooms for you to view.  I can talk or not as you wish. I am here from 7:30 until 4 most weekdays.

The Babson College Archives Website:
If you don’t want to get up from your seat (not a good move to not move) you can check out the various things to see on the Archives Website. The site is meant for browsing so check out the Timeline, Playbills and Little Magazines, and other things.

I hope that you avoid cottonmouth and brain cramps and that every question on every final is one you’ve prepared for.
