This Is Your Babson Blog | Home
From the viewpoints of current students, admission counselors and the dean of admission

Well everyone I have awesome news and terrible news - I guess I’ll get through the terrible news first so here it goes…

THIS IS MY LAST DAY AS AN ADMISSION INTERN AND MY LAST BLOG ENTRY :( :( :(

Yup, the time has finally come for me to say goodbye. Graduation is 18 days away and we seniors are in the process of closing out our careers as Babson students (that was SO difficult to say).

Today I had my last class of college ever although it is not completely over yet, I still have some final papers and exams to get through but it is a very weird feeling knowing that I will never sit through an undergraduate class again.

I just wanted to tell you all that writing these blogs has been so much fun and helping all of you prospective students over the past few years has been one of the most genuinely rewarding experiences I’ve ever had and I am going to terribly miss the amazing people I’ve met and the opportunities to rant and rave about the school that I love.

Ok so now that I got through the sappy goodbyes it’s time for the good stuff….

I GOT A JOB I GOT A JOB I GOT A JOB!!!!

After searching since August and venting my frustrations through this blog I have finally become one of the very lucky graduates of 09 that has a job in hand while I walk across the stage at graduation. I will be a Business Analyst for The Hanover Insurance Group and I am extremely excited for the position, especially since 5 other Babson seniors were given offers and accepted so I will be able to work with a few of my closest friends. Couldn’t really get much better. After only a few days of apartment hunting (less than a week actually) I found an ABSOLUTE STEAL on an apartment right in between Babson and my office so I will still be able to come back as an alumnus next year to still be an active member of the Babson community.

Things are looking up and we are all on the precipice of some huge life changes, but don’t worry, you are not alone - you have support on all sides from your parents, friends, your new Babson family, and Babson alums all rooting for you and willing to help you out in any way.

It has been a pleasure and I sincerely hope that anyone that has read my blog keep in touch. If you see me next year as alum around campus don’t hesitate to stop me to say hi or if you’d like feel free to email me with any questions that you might have during your transition to college over the next few months.

Signing off,

Justin
