It’s crazy to think I am already in my last semester of college. It has been so crazy. I never been busier…which sounds crazy but with this economic crisis I have to work double to for everything i want to achieve. I got an internship at Hill Holliday (ad agency in Boston) which I LOVE. Thanks to the Center for Career Development. they suggested I apply even though it was my last semester because it could lead to a potential job offer. So wish me luck everyone! Oh wait let’s backtrack for a second (my brain often does that) I went to Guatemala on a community service trip through Babson. It was for 10 days in January and it was AMAZING!!!! Here is an awesome pic of the volcano (inactive). We climbed it and picked coffee there. It was such a great experience. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I took full advantage of Babson’s short term study abroad programs. I was able to go to Africa and Guatemala. There is also short term courses in Mexico, London, and Russia too. Find out more on the Babson Website (oh yeah, I just made a plug in haha).
****~~~~~*****~~~~~ BACK TO PRESENT ******~~~~~*****~~~~~*****~~~~ So yeah this year I am taking an acting class which is tons of fun. It’s really helping me be more comfortable in my own skin. Some we do are very silly, but its kind of a stress reliever. Besides, now I can “act” as though I’m interested in everything. (hehe jk…but not really). I am also doing a consulting project for Babson. The class is called MCFE (Management Consulting Field Experience) in which you consult for an actual company. You do research with a team, talk to the company frequently and try to solve the current issue at hand. My company is (drum roll)……………….. BABSON! ok ok ok so it may sound like all I do is live breathe sleep eat Babson life, but I really wanted to give back to the school because it has given so much to me, so I thought this project would be a cool idea. We are trying to develop new web strategy for Babson…sounds fun right!!!! I love the Internet (hit me up on FACEBOOK!). As far as extra- curricular activities, I am still dancing in BDE, still running HOLA. There will be tons of events in the next coming weeks which you will hear about soon! SHOUT OUT FOR THIS BLOG GOES TO MAIRON BRANDWAJN. HE IS MY FELLOW CLASSMATE, FRIEND, AND BROTHER WHO JUST WENT THROUGH SURGERY FOR CANCER AND IS DOING BETTER. I Miss you and love you dearly!
