Hello All, So, we are all back on campus and in the full swing of second semester. There’s snow on the ground and FME sales pitches in the air. The admission office is extremely busy reading applications while we interns do whatever we can to help out. The seniors celebrated our “100 Days to Graduation” party a couple weekends ago and it was bittersweet. I felt like I was celebrating the death of my social life; college as I know it. The prospect of the real world does have its exciting parts though. As the year comes to its final stages we still have spring break, senior week, all the usual Babson spring festivites and of course Commencement Day to look forward to. It is just all becoming much more real. We are all trying to slow time but we are failing miserably (Rob and Big from MTV were right…internet order time machines don’t work so don’t waste your money), consequently all of the seniors are getting all emotional and sappy because we want to enjoy our last few months with our friends to the fullest. Below is a picture of 3 of us interns at our 100 Day party, sorry it’s blurry! (Brian, Deb, Me) As far as the job search…it’s a sore subject for just about every senior in the country right now. Babson is doing SO MUCH to help us though. On top of the fact that they have given us phenomenal training for the past 3.5 years there was actually a survey that went out to all seniors a few days ago to get a sense of who does/doesn’t have jobs and where people have gotten them or are looking for them. Once they compile the data they are going to have a ONE ON ONE MEETING WITH EVERY SENIOR that doesn’t have a job to help us come up with a personalized game plan! That is the kind of out of this world support that we get here. It is so comforting to know that the entire Babson community is 110% behind us job seeking seniors right now and that our alumni networks/on campus supporters are doing everything they can to make sure we reach our fullest potential as recent Babson grads. More posts to come in the next few days. Take care and stay warm. Justin |
