Ok, no wild jungle animals terrorized our campus this past weekend but the cheetah print skirts and poorly made loin cloths were out in force for our “Jungle” Knight Party. For those that don’t know about the awesomeness that is a Babson Knight Party they are an absolute favorite part of the Babson social scene here. Once a month the Campus Activities Board spends a couple thousand dollars (don’t quote me on that though) to turn our Knight Auditorium into basically a club. They get a DJ, light systems, huge dance platforms, and play the music videos on a huge screen behind the DJ. The parties last from 10pm-2am and from 10pm-12am there is a beer garden for the 21+ crowd and free pizza for everyone. Whoever said Babson’s social scene is weak has never been to one of these because EVERYONE goes. We count down to these parties days ahead and people go ALL OUT for whatever the theme is that night. Heat, rain, snow, and ice do not stop us from going (literally, the first Knight Party occured during a down-pour so everyone was drenched on the dance floor after walking from their dorms and I have definitely walked through snow before to get to one-it only adds to the fun) and there are both pre-parties and after-parties well into the night. Campus Activities Board always comes up with great themes but some of the more popular ones have been our annual Halloween Costume (this one is the biggest by far), Back To The 80’s, and Jungle among many others. As always, leave us comments or send us emails with questions or suggestions of what you’d like us to write about! That’s all for today. Justin
